Blue Ridge Parkway-North Carolina!

I know that I wrote about the Thomas Wolfe House Asheville NC and how awesome it was, but I can tell you this. Nothing can compete with Mother Nature.

After finishing our tour we decided to check out the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina.

We started our trip by heading to the Blue Ridge Parkway Visitors Center located at mile post 384 on the parkway. The people in the visitor center were very knowledgeable and helpful to everyone that came to the center.

They were able to answer every question they were asked and were excited to share their knowledge with the visitors. After picking up some literature we headed south.

When we arrived at the Peak of the Parkway we found the Pisgah Inn. The Pisgah Inn has the most amazing view I have ever seen.

While you enjoy a delicious meal with great service, you are overlooking the mountain. When our food arrived we were very pleasantly surprised. We both ordered the Fish and Chips and when our plates arrived we had two large pieces of fish on them. The fish and the fries were very tasty.

All in all, we had a very nice lunch up there and nice break from sightseeing as well. When we finished our meal, we took the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful view once more before we started our drive back down the mountain.

Believe it or not, the view on the way back down was as amazing as the view on the way up. Everything is still new because you are seeing it from the other side and at a different time of day. if you get it.

Driving the parkway is a wonderful way to spend a day while visiting Asheville. You do not want to miss this opportunity, if you get it.
