This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of UPS for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
Tis the season for wishes and today I want to share my wish with you. I wish we lived in a country where no man, woman, or child ever had to go a day without food and shelter. When I visited Hawaii last week, I saw first hand just how many people are homeless in Hawaii. I was shocked. I don’t live under a rock and I have seen homeless people before in places like New York and Florida, but I think it was the number of homeless people I saw that really opened my eyes.
I visited a McDonalds early in the morning before they had opened and saw a homeless man asleep in front of the door. Can you imagine spending your nights outside a restaurant? Homelessness is so bad in Hawaii that most places don’t offer public restrooms because they don’t want to attract homeless people to the inside of their establishment. How sad is that?
My goal for the new year is to find ways that I can personally make a difference in the lives of homeless people in my community. I know that I am only one person, but I am hoping that other people will stand up with me and fight to make a difference as well. It only takes one small movement to create a crashing wave, and that’s what I hope to do.
One company that has taken notice of small movements is UPS! UPS is currently Highlighting people and organizations in the community that are dedicated to solving problems to make their communities, their country, and the world a better place by “delivering wishes” in their own way.For every UPS #WishesDeliveredstory

What can you do?
Your wish could automatically be a part of the #WishesDelivered site by just posting your wish on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #WishesDelivered.
You can also go to the #WishesDelivered Site and submit your wish there.
I love it when companies like UPS want to celebrate the great people who are making a difference in communities across America. We can make a difference, and we can see our wishes come true. Never stop believing that!
So now I ask, What’s your wish?
