Nashville Day 2 - Let's Just Chillax

I am having the hardest time getting over my jet lag and the time change. I really didn't think being in a different time zone for 4 days would get me this off schedule, but I was wrong. I feel tired all the time and just can seem to get it together. It also doesn't help that I haven't worked out in a few weeks. In all honesty, I can't wait to get back home.

Last night after all the traveling was through and everyone had a chance to catch a nap we headed out to Caney Fork River Valley Grille for dinner. The food was delicious, and the kids had a great time posing for pictures with the truck and stuffed wildlife. They were especially fond of the deer behind ;). I don't know of many sounds that are a delight to my ears, the way their laughter is. I may be tired but I am still able to enjoy the blessing of spending time with my family. After dinner, we headed back to the hotel and went straight to bed.

Today we decided to take it easy, and not worry about doing a bunch of touristy things. We basically rolled out of bed late, got ready for the day, and headed to lunch. We decided to have lunch at the Hibachi Grill and Buffet and while we weren't sure what to expect from the outside (it looks to be in an old grocery store), I am so glad we took our chances on this restaurant. They had so many foods to choose from (including American options, which is always good for the kids) and I tried quite a few new foods I really liked.

After we got back to the hotel we all took naps (I know right, we are getting OLD) then woke up and headed to the pool. We had a great time as you can see:

We had a great day just spending some time together, but I think we'll have to grab our maps and fanny packs tomorrow and head out to see the sights and sounds of Nashville! (Oh, and you know I was kidding about the fanny packs right? Really I was :). )
