So much to see - Hollywood Day 1

The day started off great, but I think I made my first mistake when I skipped breakfast. I boarded a plane for Huston, which was a quick and uneventful flight. I assumed I would be able to grab some lunch during the layover, but I had forgotten how big the airport is. After getting from Terminal A to Terminal C I made it just in time to hear them call my seat number. After about an hour after we got into the air, my minor headache had turned into a full blown migraine. I thought I was going to die (and puke). Finally about 2 hours into the flight I ordered a snack box, and tried to eat as much as I could. The problem I have is that after I start feeling queasy I have a really hard time eating, but it is usually what I need to do most. Once we landed I knew I had to get some food in me, but it was still another hour and a half before I ever got to order room service.

At the airport I had the pleasure of seeing some familiar faces, and meet some new bloggers (new to me that is, they have been blogging for years).

These are the bloggers I met in the van, go ahead and stop by their sites, I think you'll like what you see!

Shalaun- Her name sounds like salon with an h, that's how I plan to remember it any way :). She is SUPER sweet, and let me borrow her iPhone charger, so I already love her.

Jewel (she has since passed away from ovarian cancer)- She's friends with one of my favorite bloggers Zippy; I can already tell she is going to keep me laughing!

Kia- I'm hoping to play tourist with her because she is as excited as I am about being in Hollywood.

Kas- I actually met her in NOLA and am thrilled to spend more time with her. I am super shy but she makes me feel more comfortable here cause she's just awesome like that.

Louise and Crystal - I know of these ladies from Mom Dot, but haven't really had a chance to talk to either of them much, but I can't wait to get to know them better.

After getting to the hotel we were given some of the best swag eva! Seriously I have gotten lots of swag bags over the past two years, and this one takes the cake:

I will tell you a little more about the products, and where you can find them in my next post!

Once I got checked in to my room, I did what any tourist would do, and frantically searched for the Hollywood sign, and it wasn't too hard to spot! Before I left home I told John that all I really wanted was a view of the sign from my window; and that's exactly what I got!

At around 7:30 PST (which was 10:30 my time) we went to eat dinner. As we were walking to the Roosevelt Hotel, I couldn't believe my eyes... they were having the premiere for Green Lantern, and Ryan Reynolds was on the red green carpet! I also saw a blonde I thought was Taylor Swift but it must have been Blake Lively. Talk about AMAZING!!! I want to live here.

Dinner was at Tropicana, and it was a strange selection of foods for this southern girl, but it was good! I had such a good time chatting with everyone; and was super excited to see Liz again. I met her for the first time during Mom 2.0 and I really missed her, so I am so excited to be here with her! It's funny because I would have never imagined making so many friends online, and then meeting them in real life. I guess that's the world we live in today, and other than some of the obvious dangers I think it can technology can be pretty awesome. It's surreal to sit with a group of twenty bloggers from around the country knowing I will leave with some life long friends, that I would have never met otherwise!

After dinner we snapped a group picture (which I am hoping to share later) and headed to the hotel. I considered trying to crash the Green Lantern after party, but decided I was too tired and headed straight to bed ;).

Can't wait to see what they have in store for us today! Talk to you soon!

XOXOXOXOXOXO
